This Project is a good example of how innovative the dutch have been with housing.  Field of Sounds is a housing community designed specifically for musicians.  I chose this project because the urban layout is a fairly literal interpretation of the Dutch concept for co-housing.

By controlling the way in which people circulate through the space, areas adopt functions for use.  At the center, a common house becomes the heart of the community, in this case, individual practice spaces and a main performance area.   Perhaps the most innovative factor within this project is that the common space is inserted below the ground.  Not only does this open up the center of the neighborhood with park space, but insulate the community from the noises within.
